SuiGen Hosting's DuoServer SteadFast, Chicago data center in the United States offers complete redundancy in power, HVAC, network connectivity, and security. Additionally the datacenter facilities sit atop multiple power grids, with full UPS battery backup power and diesel generators onsite.
With over 1.1 million square feet, the datacenter's power systems are equipped with a level of redundancy that guarantees continuous operation. To ensure that the data center is always operational all the time we have in place some of the highest grade equipment available.
Unlike some other data centers the climate control and security measures are also backed up with redundant power to ensure clean operation during power outages.
Because air control is critical in maintaining fast, efficient performance for our customers' equipment our HVAC system uses a more efficient and effective chilled water cooling system (as opposed to a standard forced/chilled air configuration).
As such our HVAC system is capable of maintaining a constant, cool environment that is conducive to our customers' mission-critical equipment and operations.
A state-of-the-art fire suppression system constantly monitors the physical environment for smoke, chemicals and other hazardous materials that might spark a fire.

- Water is released only when a sprinkler head has lost its seal, or is actuated (due to heat) and the fire detection system has detected a fire condition
- If a sprinkler head is accidentally knocked off, water does not flow into the system
- Water discharge is sprinkler-head specific
(limiting the potential for damage caused by over-spray)
Network Infrastructure
Our high-performance, fully redundant network utilizes routing and switching products from the top leaders in the industry. We provide the best network equipment (carrier grade Cisco and Juniper) to help optimize overall network and routing performance, and provide the lowest latency and jitter.
This is perfect for trading, voice services, and game service providers. A fully redundant 10 Gigabit Ethernet infrastructure is used across the entire core of the network to reduce the risks of internal congestion due to DDoS attacks and to maintain optimal flexibility and performance.
Our data center facilities have been built to meet the high demands and reliability of telecommunications providers and Fortune 500 companies. We provide access to dozens of third party backbone providers from each of our buildings via cross connects.
We took care in choosing our carriers; our research showed them to be some of the fastest and most reliable networks available, resulting in us utilizing some of the largest carriers in the world.
Our network is fully meshed, using OSPF, and redundant with a wide selection of backbone providers, and supplemented by our peering network which consists of over 100 direct peering relationships.

Security
All of our DuoServer SteadFast, Chicago data center facilities have completed SSAE16 audits to help assure proper methods and procedures to assure optimal security compliance.
Visual confirmation and strict sign-in procedures, both conducted by trained security personnel, along with key cards, and photo ID verification ensure that only authorized personnel have access to our data center.
No customers are allowed in our space unattended and staff is on-site 24/7. In addition, all aspects of the data center are monitored and recorded via color, hi-resolution digital video cameras.
All logs and video footage are kept on hand for a period of at least 90 days. Our in-house operations center is staffed with skilled technicians on-site 24/7 and has 24/7/365 server monitoring.
