SuiGen Hosting's DuoServer BlueSquare, London data center in the United Kingdom has been specified to the UK Data Centre Uptime Institute and EU Code on Conduct specifications for Tier 2 resiliency.

With over 50,000 feet of raised floor, the datacenter is supported by multiple diversely supplied 2 MW on site substations. This is distributed to N+1 PowerWave UPS systems for critical load. The UPS's are protected by multiple AKSA generators with 30 hours of fuel storage at full load onsite. There is a guaranteed contract to provide fuel to maintain 30 hours of fuel capacity.

N+1 HVAC cooling is provided by Airedale CRAC water chilled units in each data hall.

The facility is equipped with VESDA fire detection which continuously samples the air for smoke particles.

The site houses diverse network connectivity via Dark Fibre to multiple London points of presence with 2ms of network latency.

The DuoServer BlueSquare, London data center in the United Kingdom is one of the few facilities that are able to provide access to fiber traveling direct to the USA, Paris and Amsterdam for your mission critical services.

When creating the data campus we made sure we had ultra-fast connectivity with low latency to London locations. We achieved this through the diverse network connectivity via Dark Fibre to multiple London points of presence with 2ms of network latency.

Opened in August 2006, at 10,000 sq.ft. in size, BlueSquare Data provides up to 16 Amps per cabinet location with N+1 redundancy at all times. BlueSquare House is connected with 2 London docklands datacenters via a 10Gig Extreme Networks ring. Those being Telehouse East and Telecity HEX89.

Security

Security is one of our highest priorities at our BlueSquare, London data center. We have security guards constantly monitoring the CCTV monitors, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

We use the latest proximity sensing technology so as soon as anything passes in front of a camera that object is tracked, zoomed in on automatically and the image feed is displayed on a dedicated 'big screen' in the security command room.

Each area is accessible only via swipe cards, and again each entrance is protected via security cameras. Physical access to the site is only possible once you have completed rigorous security checks via an intercom to security.

The datacenter is located inside its own secure compound... with 3-meter-high anti-climb fencing, electric entry, and an anti-tailgate systems.

The compound's perimeter utilizes a complex barrier system to ensure that no vehicles can enter the location without approval from security.

We do everything possible (including the use of a swipe card system, with 6-layer entry) to prevent unauthorized access to the site, buildings and data halls as well as to the rack housings themselves.

Multiple systems are in place to identify and react to threats so that your infrastructure is protected from theft, damage or interference.

The operation center is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by skilled technicians.
